Personal Information Protection Policy of Chengdu 2025

Welcome to use Chengdu 2025 application software ("Chengdu 2025") provided by the Executive Committee of the TWG 2025 Chengdu ("we"). We attach great importance to the protection of your personal information and privacy. To facilitate your login and use of relevant services and provide you with more convenient user experience and services, we may collect and use your relevant personal information while you are using Chengdu 2025. We would like to explain, through the Chengdu 2025 Personal Information Protection Policy ("the Policy"), that while you are using Chengdu 2025, we will provide you with safe and reliable measures to process and protect your personal information and we will provide you with the methods to access, copy, correct, supplement and delete your personal information and exercise other legal rights in connection with your personal information.
For your convenience, we will remind you of the terms and conditions in which you have a personal stake with bold. Please read them carefully.
Please read the Policy carefully before using the services provided by Chengdu 2025. Upon your click on "agree", the Policy will be established between you and the Executive Committee and take legal effect, which means that you have agreed to our processing and protection of your personal information in accordance with the Policy.

1. APPLICATION AND DEFINITIONS
1.1 The Policy only applies to all services we provide you through Chengdu 2025 ("Services"), including page views, applications and all services we provide you through Chengdu 2025 after login. When you use other products or services provided by the Executive Committee, the Personal Information Protection Policy provided by the Executive Committee for the products or services shall be applied.
1.2 Personal information refers to all kinds of information relating to identified or identifiable natural persons recorded in electronic or other forms, excluding the anonymized information.
1.3 Personal information processing refers to collection, storage, use, processing, transmission, provision, disclosure, deletion and transfer of personal information.
1.4 Processor of personal data refers to an organization or individual who independently determines the purposes and means of processing personal data, referred to as a "controller" in the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679.
1.5 Accreditation card holder refers to the designated personnel participating in the Chengdu 2025 FISU World University Games (“Chengdu 2025 FISU Games”), including participants and organisers.
1.6 Minor: In China, a minor refers to a citizen under the age of 18. For residents of other countries or regions, a minor is defined by the applicable law of the country or region in which he or she resides. For the avoidance of doubt, minors include children.
1.7 Children: In China, children refers to minors under the age of 14.
1.8 Guardian refers to parents or other legal guardians of a minor.
1.9 China refers to the People's Republic of China.
Unless otherwise provided in the Policy, definitions used herein shall have the same meaning as those in the Chengdu 2025 User Agreement.
2. HOW DO WE COLLECT AND USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
For the purpose of providing you with services, we will collect and use your personal information and access to corresponding devices for the following purposes and in the following ways described in the Policy:
2.1 Services for You and Scenarios in Which Your Personal Information is Collected and Used
We remind you that we offer a variety of functions and services through Chengdu 2025 and some of these services (including your personal information to be collected) will vary depending on the services you access, but the Policy applies to all the functions and services we provide. While you are using a certain type of functions or services, we will collect your relevant personal information only for the purpose of realizing such functions or services and protecting the security of your account. For the functions or services you are not using, we will not collect personal information from you required for the realization of such functions or services.
As mentioned above, please note that you will not be able to verify your identity if you are not an accreditation card holder, but you are still welcome to browse news and watch videos on Chengdu 2025. In this case, we will not collect any personal information from you. But for the following functions and services, we will collect your relevant personal information only to realize such functions or services and protect the security of your account.
The verify function is still under development. We will provide this service in the subsequent versions.
1) Help you create your account
When creating your Chengdu 2025 account, you need to provide your mobile phone number or email address. Such information is necessary for you to create an Chengdu 2025 account. If you only use the browsing and search functions, you are not required to provide the above information to create an account. After creating your account , you can log in to Chengdu 2025 via the registered mobile phone number or email address.
We will capture verification codes from your clipboard to autofill the blank and make it easy for you to register or log in.
2) Provide information about the TWG 2025 Chengdu
We will provide you with TWG 2025 Chengdu Games encyclopedia, sports introductions, etc. When you using these functions, you are not required to become a registered user and Chengdu 2025 will not collect any information from you.
When you read news on Chengdu 2025 and need to save pictures included in the news, Chengdu 2025 will ask for permission to access your photo album in order to add the pictures you need to your photo album.
3) Provide general services for you
A. Feedback
This service is only available after you log in to Chengdu 2025.You can give feedback on problems or propose suggestions during your use of the app.
B. Messages
This service is only available after you log in to Chengdu 2025. You can view system messages from the app. You can enable or disable the message notification service of Chengdu 2025 in the notification settings of your mobile phone. Even though notifications are disabled, the app can continue to receive notification messages.
C.Account Management
This service is only available after you log in to Chengdu 2025. When you change your password or delete your account, for the purpose of verifying your identity, Chengdu 2025 will automatically read the mobile phone number or email address you provided during registration Only after the successful verification can you continue to use relevant functions.
4) Maintain the normal operation of basic functions
When you use the services provided by Chengdu 2025, in order to ensure network and operational security, understand product suitability, identify abnormal account status and maintain the proper functioning of the basic browsing and searching of Chengdu 2025, we may collect and store, directly or indirectly, the information about the services you use and how they are used. Such information includes:
A. Log information: When you use Chengdu 2025 (including background running), Chengdu 2025 will record abnormal error information during your using, which will be used to analyze the errors and abnormalities during the operation of Chengdu 2025. By doing so, we hope to optimise the user experience and the stability of Chengdu 2025. Such information includes your login account, content searched, IP address, telecom operator, network environment, language used, date of accessing, and subscription content.
B. Device information: When you use Chengdu 2025 (including background running), Chengdu 2025 will record the following information about your device: device model, operating system and version, client version, device resolution, package name, device settings, device identifier (MAC address/IMEI/Android ID/IDFA/OpenUDID/GUID/SIM card IMSI information), hardware and software characteristics, device location information (e.g. IP address, GPS location and WLAN access point and base station sensor information that can provide relevant information), clipboard content (to obtain verification codes). The app uses such information to provide its basic services or functions. Prior to collecting this information, we will request access to your device information and if you refuse to provide such access, you will not be able to use the Chengdu 2025 services.
C. Components/Auto-Start: To ensure that Chengdu 2025 is able to receive broadcast information from clients while not running or running in the background, Chengdu 2025 should use the auto-start feature. In this case, the system will send broadcast information to wake Chengdu 2025 up for auto-start or associated startup, which is necessary to fulfill the functions and services. When you open the content-type push notifications from Chengdu 2025, it will open Chengdu 2025 and present the relevant content after having your explicit consent. If you do not grant consent, there will be no associated startup.
Please understand that during your use of the Chengdu 2025 services, your device information and log information will be anonymized and de-identified, unless authorised by you or required by law. Such information will be treated and protected in the same manner as your personal information in accordance with this policy.
5) Provide you with security
We may collect, use and integrate your account information, device information, log information and information that we obtain through our partners as authorised by you or shared in accordance with laws and regulations. With this information, we determine the risk to your account, detect and prevent security incidents, and take the necessary logging, auditing, analysis and disposal measures in accordance with laws. By doing this, we will be able to provide you with security as you use the services provided by us and our partners, protect the personal and property safety of you or other users and the public, and more accurately identify violations of laws and regulations or breaches of the agreements or rules related to the services of Chengdu 2025.

You understand and agree that different services of Chengdu 2025 may require you to enable specific access permissions in your device in order to enable the collection and use of the information to which those permissions relate (Please note that the device permissions to be accessed by a third party is subject to the personal information protection policy of the third party).

3. HOW DO WE USE COOKIE OR SIMILAR TECHNOLOGY
We do not use Cookie. We use local caching to enhance the user experience of using the network. When Chengdu 2025 is first started, a request for storage permission will pop up, which will be used for local caching. Chengdu 2025 generally uses local caching for the following purposes:
3.1 Authentication
Local caching notifies us when you access our services so that we can verify your identity information to ensure the security of your account.
After you successfully login to Chengdu 2025, it will cache your login token information (including mobile phone number or email address) locally. When you access Chengdu 2025 services, Chengdu 2025 will verify your locally cached login token information to identify whether you have logged in securely. If successful, information related to you will be displayed to you.
3.2 Functions and Services
Local caching can help us provide you with better user experience.
For example, local caching can help you fill in your last login information (mobile phone number or email address) with locally stored information when are you logging in, so as to improve your operation efficiency.
3.3 Efficiency
Local caching can avoid unnecessary server load, improve service efficiency, and save resources and energy.
We do not use the cached information for business purposes such as user behavior analysis, generating user portraits, or automating decisions. If you think the cached information should not be retained, you can clear the cached data generated during your use of Chengdu 2025 in the following ways:
If you use Android or HarmonyOS system, you can clear the cached data by going to Settings - Applications and Services - Applications Management - Chengdu 2025 - Storage - and selecting "Delete data" or "Wipe cache";
If you use Apple (iOS) system, you can clear the cached data by going to Settings - General - iPhone Storage - Chengdu 2025 - Delete App.
4. HOW DO WE EXTERNALLY PROVIDE, TRANSFER OR DISCLOSE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
4.1 External Provision
Unless otherwise required by law or regulation, or as described in this Policy, we will not provide your personal information to any company, organization or individual.
If we provide your personal information to any third party, we will notify you separately and obtain your separate consent (if applicable).
The third party will process and protect your personal information in accordance with their respective personal information protection policies, unless the third party processes the personal information on our behalf (in this case, the Policy will apply to such processing). We will endeavor to require the third party to take necessary steps to protect your personal information. It is also recommended that you read the relevant third party's personal information protection policies to understand the third party's processing of your personal information and your rights as the owner of your personal information.
4.2 Transfer
Unless otherwise required by law or regulation, or as specifically described in the Policy, we will not transfer your personal information to any company, organization or individual. However, in the event of dissolution and so on, we may transfer your personal information to the recipient (if any), who will continue to fulfill our obligations as a processor of the personal information. When your personal information is required to be transferred, we will notify you of the name and contact information of the recipient by means of system messages or otherwise.
4.3 Disclosure
We will only disclose your personal information to the public in the following circumstances:
1) According to your request or after obtaining your authorization, we will disclose the information designated by you in the manner expressly approved by you;
2) In the event that we have to provide your information in accordance with the requirements of laws, regulations, compulsory administrative enforcement or judicial requirements, we may disclose your information based on the type and manner requested;
3) Instruction for the Use of Chengdu 2025 Involving Embedding of Third Party's Code and Plug-in for Transmission of Personal Information.
In order to ensure the stable operation of Chengdu 2025 or realize relevant functions, so that you can use and enjoy more services and functions, we may access to the software development kit (SDK) provided by a third party for such purpose. We will conduct strict security monitoring of the SDKs used by third parties to obtain information and strict data protection measures will be agreed upon between us and our business partners, by which requiring them to process personal information in accordance with the Policy and any other relevant confidentiality and security measures.
The third party SDKs we access mainly serve the needs of you and other users. Therefore, we may adjust the third party SDKs we access to meet new service requirements and changes to the functions. We will promptly inform you of the update of our access to the third party SDKs in the Policy. Please be aware that the types of data processed by third party SDKs may change due to version upgrade, policy adjustment, etc. Please refer to the official instructions published by such third party SDK. The third party SDKs that Chengdu 2025 accesses are specified in Article 2.3 of the Policy.
5. HOW DO WE STORE AND PROTECT YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
5.1 The personal information collected and generated during the operation of Chengdu 2025 service within China will be stored in China only. In the following circumstances, after fulfilling our obligations under laws, we will transfer your personal information
overseas:
1) We shall notify you of, among other things, the name and contact information of the overseas recipient, the purposes and methods of processing, the type of personal information and the methods and procedures for you to exercise your rights under laws against the overseas recipient have been informed and shall obtain your separate consent;
2) Other circumstances explicitly stipulated by applicable laws.
In view of the above circumstances, the party receiving your personal information will process and protect your personal information in accordance with its personal information protection policies. We will take necessary measures to ensure that the processing of personal information by the overseas recipient meets the personal information protection standards stipulated by the laws of China. You are also advised to read the personal information protection policies of the overseas recipient to understand the processing of your personal information by it and your rights as the owner of personal information.
5.2 We will only retain your personal information during the time when we provide services to you, which is necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we provide services. When the aforementioned retaining period of your personal information expires, we will delete your personal information as required by applicable laws or anonymize it, unless otherwise required by laws and regulations or otherwise agree upon by you.
5.3 After you terminate the use of Chengdu 2025 service, we will stop collecting and using your personal information, unless otherwise required by laws or regulatory authorities. If we cease operation, we will timely cease the activities of collecting your personal information and send you a notice of the cease in the form of a public announcement, and delete or anonymize your personal information we hold, unless otherwise required by laws and regulations or otherwise agreed upon by you.
5.4 We will take the following measures to protect your personal information:
5.4.1 Data security technology and management measures
We endeavor to safeguard the security of information and prevent the unauthorized access, disclosure, tampering or loss of personal information (collectively referred to as "information leakage").
1) In terms of technology measures, we will take reasonable and practical security protection measures in line with industry standards to safeguard the security of personal information. For example, we will prevent information leakage through security measures such as server password encryption.
2) In terms of security management system and personnel, we have established strict management systems and procedures to safeguard the security of personal information. For example, we strictly limit the handling scope of persons who have access to information, conduct audits and require them to comply with their confidentiality obligations.
3) In terms of handling security incidents, we have established management systems for reporting and handling security incidents, such as network security incident management system and network security contingency plan.
5.4.2 We remind you that the Internet is not an absolutely safe environment. Please take care to protect the security of your devices and personal information. You are kindly requested not to show your personal information to others on social networking platforms, or to effectively shield information from the public at the time of the disclosure so as to avoid criminals from using your public information for fraud.
5.4.3 Handling of privacy data leakage incidents
If a data leakage incident unfortunately occurs, we will take remedial measures timely in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, inform you and report to relevant regulatory authorities in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
6. EXCEPTIONS OF ASKING FOR AUTHORIZATION AND CONSENT
We do not need your prior authorization to process your personal information when:
1) It is necessary for us to perform our statutory obligations;
2) It is directly related to national security or national defense security;
3) It is directly related to public security, public health or vital public interests;
4) It is directly related to judicial or administrative enforcement such as criminal investigation, prosecution, trial and judgment enforcement;
5) It is necessary for the protection of your or others' significant legitimate rights and interests such as your or other individuals' life, health and/or property security;
6) To the reasonable extent in accordance with law, processing your personal information that is disclosed by yourself or has been otherwise lawfully disclosed (for example, disclosed through lawful Press reports and government information disclosure channels);
7) It is necessary for the conclusion and performance of contracts to which you are a party;
8) To carrying out such activities as news reporting and supervision by public opinion for the public interests, processing your personal information within a reasonable scope;
9) It is necessary to maintain safe and stable operations of products or services provided, for example, to detect and dispose of malfunctions of products or services;
10) It is otherwise provided by laws and regulations.
7. HOW DO YOU MANAGE PERSONAL INFORMATION
We attach great importance to your attention to personal information and try our best to protect your rights to access, copy, correct, supplement, delete and transfer your personal information, so as to enable you to have full ability to protect your privacy and security. Your rights include:
7.1 Access, Copy, Correction or Supplement, Transfer
We encourage you to update and modify your information to make it more accurate and effective. Unless otherwise provided by laws, you may request to access and copy your personal information by emailing to officialmedia@theworldgames2025.com.
Subject to the conditions stipulated by the competent authorities, you may request to transfer your personal information to a third party designated by you by emailing to officialmedia@theworldgames2025.com.
If you find that the personal information you provided us is inaccurate or incomplete, you may request to correct or supplement your personal information by emailing to officialmedia@theworldgames2025.com.
7.2 Deletion
You can directly delete your data through the "Settings - Account Center - Permanent Account Deactivation" option in Chengdu2025. If you are unable to access Chengdu2025, please send an email to officialmedia@theworldgames2025.com with the subject line "Account Deletion" and provide your registration information to submit a deletion request.
For the personal information you request to delete, if the retaining period required by laws and regulations does not expire, or it is difficult to delete the information due to technology limitation, we may not be able to delete the corresponding information from the backup system immediately. 7.4 Changing the Scope of Your Consent or Revoking Your Consent

7.5 Rights of the Deceased’s Next of Kin
In the event of the unfortunate death of a Chengdu 2025 user, the decedent's next of kin may, for their own legal and legitimate interests, exercise the right to access, copy, correct or supplement or transfer the personal information of the deceased as prescribed in this chapter (unless otherwise arranged during the lifetime of the deceased).
7.6 Account Cancellation
When you need to terminate the use of our service, you may apply for canceling your account. You may do so by yourself in the following ways: click "Me"-"Settings"-"Account Management"-"Permanently Delete Account" in Chengdu 2025, and cancel your personal account according to the interface prompts.
We hereby kindly remind you that your cancellation of your account will not allow you to continue to use the relevant services of Chengdu 2025. After you cancel your account, we may delete your personal information or anonymize it in accordance with the rules set forth herein Article 7.2 "Deletion".
7.7 Responding to Your Requests Above
For security purposes, you may be required to provide a written request or otherwise to prove your identity. We may ask you to verify your identity before we process your request. Unless required by law or regulation or otherwise explicitly stated in the Policy, we will respond to your request within 15 working days. If you are not satisfied with the response, you may refer to the external dispute resolution provided in Article 10 of the Policy.
In principle, we will not charge any fee for your reasonable requests. However, in the event of repeated requests or requests that exceed a reasonable limit, we may charge a certain amount based on specific circumstances. We may refuse information that is not directly related to you, or request that is unreasonably repetitive, that requires excessive Technology (for example, requires the development of new systems or fundamental changes to existing practices), that poses a risk to the legitimate rights and interests of others or that is impractical.
We will not be able to respond to your request in the following circumstances:
1) Relevant to our performance of obligations provided by laws and regulations;
2) Directly related to the national security or the national defense security;
3) Directly related to public security, public health and vital public interests;
4) Directly relevant to judicial or administrative enforcement such as criminal investigation, prosecution, trial and enforcement of judgments;
5) Where there is sufficient evidence to prove your subjective malice or abuse your rights;
6) Where, for the purpose of protecting your or other individuals' life, property and other material legitimate rights and interests;
7) In order to protect our own legitimate rights and interests or achieve legitimate purposes;
8) Where the response to your request will cause serious damage to your or other individuals or organizations' legitimate rights and interests;
9) That seriously impede us to provide corresponding services;
10) That trade secrets are involved or the information shall be kept confidential according to laws and regulations.
8. PROTECTION OF MINORS' PERSONAL INFORMATION
We attach great importance to the protection of minors' personal information.
8.1 If you are a minor, you may use our services or provide us with your personal information with the consent of your guardian or have your guardian act on your behalf. Where a minor's personal information is collected for the purpose of using our products or services with the consent of the guardian, we may only collect, store, use, transfer, disclose or otherwise process such personal information with the consent of the guardian and in accordance with the rules set forth in the Policy. We will protect minors' personal information in accordance with relevant national laws and regulations, and the provisions of the Policy and the Personal Information Protection Policy for Minors.
8.2 If you are a child under the age of 14, before using related product or services, you shall follow the registration and use procedures, obtain the consent of your parents or legal guardians in advance, and have your parents or legal guardians help you to complete the registration of the products or services so that you can use the products or services provided by us.

9. HOW THE POLICY IS UPDATED
The Policy may be updated as laws and regulations are promulgated or amended, and Chengdu 2025's technology and/or functions are updated or optimized. We will post any changes to the Policy on Chengdu 2025's website and alert you. For material changes, we will also provide you with more prominent notice by means of push messages.
Material changes referred to in the Policy include but not limited to:
1) material changes in our service model, such as changes in the purpose, method and type of personal information processing, addition of new service or function of collecting personal information, etc.;
2) change in the recipients of personal information to whom we provide personal information, or transfer or make public personal information;
3) material change in your right to participate in processing of personal information and the manner in which it is exercised.
4) material changes in the contact information of the processor, the retaining period, and other changes that we are required by laws and regulations to notify you of.
The updated version of the Policy takes effect from the date of publication. However, in case of material changes, we will re-obtain your consent for such changes. The updated version of the Policy takes effect after you click "Agree". If you refuse to accept the updated Policy, you will not be able to continue to use the corresponding services or functions.
